Position Summary for Analyst - Search+ Ops with Kinesso
Search Ops works deep in the tracking and tagging platforms used commonly in the Paid Search and Paid Social media platforms (Adwords, Facebook), designing and maintaining the various technologies to help our client-agencies at IPG craft nuanced media plans and ultimately produce positive results for the client’s business. We like solving problems with creative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
This role will work on client accounts (paid search accounts) to help design tracking for paid-search accounts (Google, Microsoft platforms), using tracking technologies from Google Analytics, DoubleClick, Adobe, and many other platforms. You will partner with other platforms, such as those from Facebook, Tik-Tok, Pinterest, and Snap.

Clients for this position could include TracFone, Terminix, Gallo Wineries, Spotify, J&J, USPS, or Merck. We work remotely since our tools are most frequently platforms available from almost anywhere, but we also keep in close communication.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience with Paid Search including but not limited to SA360 and Adwords, or relevant experience with Paid Social Platforms, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Snap, LinkedIn, Tiktok, or SEO work are relevant and valuable
  • Technical curiosity/interest - we like to understand how things work on the internet and are able to optimize various snippets of code we need. Not writing code, but correcting pre-existing.
  • Quantitative comfort - we are comfortable with data-sets, and using the basic software to analyze, and manage data (Excel and equivalents)
  • Detail-oriented - small things matter, either in finding a problem to fix or in getting the design right, to begin with
  • Independent working styles, but open communication - we ultimately work on “our” client account but share our workload, plans and other details freely
  • Problem-solving - we design tests to find specific issues or problems, and then craft creative solutions, tailored to the technical setup. It involves creativity, but also following a process carefully, a detail-oriented inspection of core technologies, and ultimately applying some general knowledge.
  • Continued development and learning - the internet keeps evolving, as do the clients and the technologies that are used. So we have to keep learning how to do our jobs and be comfortable in training other people, too.

  • Search+ Ops use technology, a logical approach and thinking, and training to deliver projects, handle updates and upgrades, and resolve issues. We use tech tools and are able to construct targeted test cases / situations to isolate an issue, and ultimately get to the root-cause, and then have a clear path to the solution. We work with IOS, Google Ads and MSFT Bing as well. Our clients are the SEM teams at the agencies.

  • The Search Ops groups was co-founded by Liam Ross, and he is currently the VP, Search+ Ops (Social+ Ops and Tech Ops lead as well). This position reports into him ultimately as the team-lead.
